CUT
It is related to the conversion of the design on the whole model, but also for the many individual parts out of which a textile product is made up. A bra from a lingerie programme has in average a minimum of 15-20 individual parts. The basic cuts are created in a predetermined size (e.g. size 38 for women or size 5 for men) and then are recorded and processed further by a computer. This is how the basic cut is, for example, translated (increased) in the other sizes required.
