We want children to discover and develop their strengths and talents - regardless of their origin or social status.
For this reason, the German Children's Fund has been active since 1972 and provides concrete support for the strengthening of children's rights. Each year, the association provides around one million euros to support families in need and to promote child-friendly projects.
Poverty and exclusion are a problem for society as a whole. Due to the financial situation in the family, every fifth child in Germany lacks actual educational and development opportunities. The German child welfare organization therefore supports clubs, children's panels, children's houses and projects which are located in social hotspots and are particularly concerned with children from disadvantaged families.
We want to make sure that all children in our country have almost equal chances.
