The origins of the German underwear brand SCHIESSER date back to 1875. At that time, 27-year-old Jacques Schiesser began producing “tricot garments” – the term then used for underwear – on circular knitting machines in Radolfzell on Lake Constance, together with his wife Malwine.
In 1900, Jacques Schiesser was awarded the “Grand Prix” at the Paris World Exhibition for his innovations, including braided knit and longitudinal striped fabrics. These developments later gave rise to the legendary SCHIESSER fine rib and double rib underwear, which remain among the brand’s most iconic classics to this day.
